Weekend Projects

Today Matt and I worked on some home improvement projects that we have been meaning to get started on/completed. Matt worked on painting the back trim of the house, including the underbelly of the trim. I tackled staining the fence. It's a good thing that we didn't make a bet on who would finish first. I stain about at about the same rate as I eat, do laundry, vacuum, cycle, run, swim, or just about any activity - which is to say - very, very slow.

Matt completed the entire back side trim of the house! As for me, well, I stained the gate and the first panel (and only the front sides, mind you). Both projects came out looking good. Painting the back trim of the house was essential to get done because it would have been nearly impossible to do once the patio cover was installed (yet another project for another time...). The fence staining is exciting because I can envision how nice it will look when the whole fence is completely stained. And at least now that the house trim is complete, Matt can lend me a hand in staining the fence! Ha!! Because at the rate that I'm going, the staining won't be complete for another year!!
