U.S. Open 2008

The 108th U.S. Open is being held @ Torrey Pines Municipal Golf Course in La Jolla. Today the players spent their day practicing before tournament play begins tomorrow. It was a beautiful day. There was a lot of excitement, but surprisingly, even with the thousands of people on hand, it was really a nice and relaxing atmosphere. There were a lot of golfers, but I honestly didn't recognize any of them. We were hoping to maybe catch a glimpse of Tiger, Sergio Garcia or Mickelson...but no luck. Tiger supposedly had done his practice run through the course early this morning, and was off the course by 11am. We spotted Vijay Singh working on his drive swing, and watched Villegas and Love III practice the approach, chipping and putting at the 18th.
